WWW/DB PILOT/EVALUATION PROJECT

The pilot project is a marketing tool which leads to a larger more complex contracts with 50% to 100% higher ROI.

• Technical expertise - SW development tools
• Interactive pages - enter and search data from the server database - visitor registration form, any small project which shows that you can develop WWW/Internet Server DB connectivity (two-tier, three- tier; client/server architecture, etc.

Technology:

Client side supports functionality of MS Internet Explorer 3.0 and Netscape 3.0 browser with JAVA scripting

Server side supports NT4.0/IIS3.0 -- ADO, ASP -- using Visual InterDev tools -

Visual InterDev enables developers to easily build dynamic, interactive Web applications by providing an integrated, visual development environment, powerful database tools, and team-based development support.

Project Scope:

One week to one month/2-3 person project -designing back-end(server) database and WWW to Database connectivity. Specifications are database input forms and reports (query feedback) static pages - with data examples.

Contract pay:

$10/hour with 20% down, 60% paid during the project, 20% paid 10 working days after the project completion. It is understood that after the pilot/evaluation project is successfully completed there is a larger project following this one, using the same team and technology with 50% to 100% (up to $20/hour) rate increase.

Strategy:

There is a shortage of qualified personnel in the Seattle area for interactive WWW design (Microsoft is contracting any decent C++ /SQL programmer it can find). The "first" generation of WWW designers are desktop publishers/graphics artist with HTML expertise. Object oriented programming and database design demand is outpacing the supply.

Any programmer in the World can participate in the North American market given:

• Internet Access
• Internet programming skills/Technology (HTML, JAVA, ActiveX, etc.)
• Experience (2-3 Web dynamic sites creation)
• Communication skills(English)

The price competition/cost is secondary to time to market and technical skills in new WWW marketplace
